Meiko Construction Co., Ltd., which supports Japan's railway infrastructure by handling approximately 60% of Tokaido Shinkansen track maintenance and 70% of JR Central conventional line maintenance, opened its 'General Technical Training Center' in Kasugai City, Aichi Prefecture, in April 2026. The center is equipped with state-of-the-art educational facilities. In addition to civil engineering and architectural training equipment, it features a 'track practice line' with a total length of over 700m to support safe railway operations, making it one of the leading comprehensive technical training bases in Japan. As one of the largest wooden training facilities in the country, it provides a practical educational environment where trainees can learn through 'failures that cannot be experienced on-site' while feeling the warmth of wood. The company will continue to strongly promote the development of next-generation engineers through this center to maintain the highest level of safety initiatives.
