Japan Tourism Agency to Hold Briefing Session for "Regional Integrated Tourism Industry Efficiency Support Project"

While the recovery of tourism demand, including inbound tourism, is progressing, labor shortages in the accommodation industry are becoming increasingly apparent, making business efficiency and productivity improvement urgent issues. In such circumstances, individual businesses face limitations in addressing these issues alone. However, initiatives where multiple businesses collaborate and jointly introduce and utilize facilities are considered one effective solution.

The Japan Tourism Agency is implementing the "Regional Integrated Tourism Industry Efficiency Support Project" to support equipment investment and renovations undertaken by regional accommodation providers and others in collaboration, as a unified regional effort. Through this project, we will promote initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and service standards across entire tourist destinations.

<Eligible Entities> Joint ventures of regional accommodation providers, etc. Corporations established with investment from accommodation providers, etc. Tourism associations DMOs, etc. * Regardless of the organizational structure of the representative entity, the implementation system must include multiple accommodation providers. <Subsidy Amount> Subsidy rate: 1/2 Maximum subsidy amount: 50 million yen

Briefing Session Overview In conjunction with the start of applications for this project, an online briefing session will be held to provide an easy-to-understand explanation of the project's overview and key points for application procedures. The session will also include examples of joint equipment introduction, offering valuable insights for those considering regional collaborative initiatives.
