Toda City, Saitama, will hold the 73rd Toda Bridge Fireworks Festival on Saturday, August 1, 2026.

The festival will launch approximately 7,500 fireworks, including size-10 (shakudama) shells—a rare sight for fireworks displays in the Tokyo metropolitan area. Combined with the concurrent Itabashi Fireworks Festival on the opposite bank, a total of approximately 15,000 fireworks will be displayed.

The launch sites for the Toda Bridge Fireworks Festival and the Itabashi Fireworks Festival are laid out facing each other across the Arakawa River. This extremely rare setting allows for synchronized performances, offering visitors a unique fireworks show that can only be seen here.

Marking the 60th anniversary of Toda's incorporation, this year's festival will feature initiatives to excite attendees alongside the organizers, such as original performances programmed by citizens during pre-events and audience-participation programs. Additionally, to allow more people to enjoy the fireworks within the venue, the festival will provide the largest number of paid seats in its history (approximately 25,000 seats).

Furthermore, to enhance the time spent at the venue before the fireworks begin, a variety of unique food trucks will gather to offer a wide range of drinks and exquisite menus.
