Opening Ceremony Held for 'Hachioji Koyasu Tsunagi no Oka' Development

Daiwa House Industry Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Coguma Home Co., Ltd., Ishida Komuten Co., Ltd., UK LLC, and the Housing Production Promotion Foundation, held an opening ceremony on May 9, 2026, for the 'Hachioji Koyasu Tsunagi no Oka' model district, located on the former site of the Hachioji municipal Koyasu housing complex.

This development is an eco-friendly detached housing project selected through a proposal-based open solicitation by Hachioji City. With the completion of 10 model units, the entire development is scheduled to be completed by 2028. The district features a barrier-free disaster prevention park designed to foster community engagement.

Regarding environmental performance, all units are required to meet ZEH or Tokyo Zero Emission House standards. The integration of solar power generation, storage batteries, and power sensors enables real-time monitoring of electricity usage, encouraging behavioral changes among residents. Furthermore, electricity data will be submitted to the city of Hachioji. The project also incorporates a landscape agreement to maintain an optimal living environment.

Located within walking distance of JR Hachioji Station, the development benefits from excellent transportation and educational infrastructure, positioning the area for future growth.
