Daiwa House Industry Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka, President: Hirotsugu Otomo) will begin construction of 'DPL Samukawa I,' a multi-tenant logistics facility, in Samukawa Town, Kanagawa Prefecture, on June 1, 2026. The facility will be a four-story building with a site area of 37,656.40 sqm and a total floor area of 88,967.81 sqm.
In Kanagawa Prefecture, Daiwa House has developed 30 logistics facilities, including the 'DPL Shin-Yokohama Project' consisting of three multi-tenant buildings, and various BTS (Build to Suit) facilities, totaling approximately 1.75 million sqm of floor space (as of April 30, 2026).
'DPL Samukawa I' is strategically located approximately 0.5 km from the 'Samukawa-minami Interchange' on the Ken-O Expressway and 2.5 km from the 'Chigasaki-chuo Interchange' on the Shin-Shonan Bypass. This location is ideal for wide-area distribution across the Tokyo metropolitan area and the Chubu region, serving as a key logistics hub for the entire Kanto region.
The facility features a spiral double rampway that allows trucks to access each floor directly. By separating the flow of uphill and downhill traffic, it reduces vehicle congestion and the risk of collisions, enabling efficient logistics operations. Additionally, the building will incorporate environmental measures, including a 2,950 kW solar power system on the roof operated via an 'on-site PPA' model. The project aims to achieve the highest 6-star BELS rating and Nearly ZEB standards.
To improve the working environment for tenant employees, an on-site nursery will be established to support the balance between work and childcare. The facility also provides 207 car parking spaces and 217 bicycle spaces to ensure convenient commuting. Furthermore, the company plans to develop 'DPL Samukawa II,' a refrigerated multi-tenant logistics facility, on the adjacent site in the future. Daiwa House continues to proactively propose optimal logistics solutions to its customers.
