Osaka Prefecture held the Gambling Addiction Awareness Month Symposium "Let's Know! Let's Notice! Addiction 2026 ~About Gambling Addiction~" (Organizers: Osaka Prefecture, Osaka City, Sakai City) on May 31, 2026 (Sun), in conjunction with a live recording of Radio Kansai's "REBOOT THE WORLD." The symposium, which featured DJ KOO, Moshow., and voice actors, is now available for on-demand viewing.

● Event Overview

Osaka Prefecture has designated May as Gambling Addiction Awareness Month in the "Osaka Prefecture Basic Ordinance on Gambling Addiction Countermeasures," enacted in Reiwa 4 (2022). Various awareness activities are undertaken to deepen the public's interest and understanding of gambling addiction issues.

To engage the younger generation, who are expected to have future involvement with gambling (90% of those who first engage in gambling are in their teens and 20s, according to a prefectural survey), the symposium was held alongside a live recording of the radio program "REBOOT THE WORLD," hosted by DJ KOO and Aika Chise. Approximately 500 people, mainly in their 20s and 30s, participated in the symposium, learning alongside voice actors Tomohiro Yamaguchi and Hina Naota, and singer-songwriter Moshow.

In the first part, a talk show, DJ KOO, Aika Chise, and the guests discussed their work and hobbies. In the second part, guests and participants discussed gambling and addiction, and the event was a great success, with over 90% of participants responding "Satisfied" or "Somewhat Satisfied" in the post-event survey.

We invited singer-songwriter Moshow., voice actors Tomohiro Yamaguchi and Hina Naota as guests, focusing on the three program hosts (DJ KOO, Aika Chise, and Koji Takemoto), and heard stories not usually shared.

[Part 2] Panel Discussion Dr. Mihoko Tsunoda from the Department of Psychiatry at Hanwa Izumi Hospital joined us for a panel discussion with the guests, incorporating case studies, and gave an easy-to-understand lecture on gambling addiction.
