Roses are in full bloom!

The Osaka Prefectural Flower Culture Garden in Kawachinagano City, Osaka Prefecture, is currently seeing its spring roses in full bloom. The garden features all varieties inducted into the World Federation of Rose Societies' Hall of Fame. The rose garden is a symmetrical sunken garden, allowing visitors to view the entire area from the entrance terrace, with special sections for 'blue roses' and 'roses bred in Japan.' The peak season is typically from mid-May to mid-June, with about 500 varieties and 1,500 rose bushes in bloom.

The garden offers a wide range of roses, from fragrant Old Roses to elegant Modern Roses, with approximately 150 varieties and 300 bushes classified as 'strongly fragrant.' These are marked with 'Fragrant Rose' tags. The best time to enjoy the scent is early in the morning before the flowers are fully open and exposed to too much sunlight. The scent changes throughout the day based on sunlight, temperature, and humidity, and it is said that you can enjoy 12 different scents in the morning alone.

The cafe on the second floor of the greenhouse offers limited-time menus such as Rose Pancakes (650 yen), Rose Tea Soda (600 yen), and Rose Strawberry Frappe (800 yen). The shop next to the entrance gate also sells goods like aroma incense and rose jam. Events such as 'Cafe in the Rose Garden' on May 30th and 31st, and the 'Spring Flower Concert' on weekends until June 28th, are also scheduled.
