Summer Open Campus

Osaka Jogakuin University and Osaka Jogakuin Junior College (located at 2-26-54 Tamatsukuri, Chuo-ku, Osaka City / President: Eiko Kato) will launch "A Promise of an Extra-Rich University Life" as its new brand message at this summer's open campus events.

Additionally, starting in the 2027 academic year, the university will introduce an Entrepreneurship Course within the Women's Global Leadership major (hereinafter referred to as the WGL major).

The university has long emphasized English education, Christian education, and human rights education as its core pillars, fostering an environment where each student learns proactively and independently.

"An Extra-Rich University Life" expresses the uniquely dense student experience offered by our institution—where students from diverse national and cultural backgrounds stimulate and deeply learn from one another through daily conversations and academic engagement.

Thanks to our "just-right-sized" campus—where every individual is visible and recognized—students can grow significantly by engaging with diverse values and reflecting on themselves, without getting lost in the crowd as often happens in larger universities.

Launching the "Entrepreneurship Course" within the Women's Global Leadership Major

Starting in the 2027 academic year, the university will establish a new Entrepreneurship Course within the Women's Global Leadership major (WGL), launching an English-degree program where all classes are conducted in English and graduation (degree conferral) is possible solely through English-taught credits.

This course targets students with advanced English proficiency (TOEIC 800 or above), aiming to cultivate women who can create new value in the global arena and actively contribute to solving societal challenges.

The greatest feature of the WGL major (application requirement: TOEIC 500 or above, etc.) is its educational environment akin to "domestic study abroad," where students learn alongside international peers with high English proficiency. Not only in class, but daily campus life itself becomes a space for English communication. Through exposure to diverse values, students develop the ability to see themselves as global citizens, internalize global and local issues as their own, and generate innovative solutions.

Furthermore, the university is building a female leadership development ecosystem through an industry-academia-government collaboration unit. Beyond classroom learning, the curriculum emphasizes real-world engagement to cultivate problem-finding skills, communication abilities, and practical competencies.

The university aims to nurture women with the following three qualities:

- Individuals who can clearly assess situations, consider their surroundings, and express their own thoughts in their own words - Individuals with strong communication skills who connect with others and contribute to the world and society - Individuals who reflect on themselves, remain unsatisfied with the status quo, and continuously learn and grow

At this summer's open campus events, visitors can experience the uniquely rich university life that defines our institution.
