Highlights include a cello performance by rising star Juri Sasanuma and a violin solo by Shinozaki himself. Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, performed by an ensemble of over 300 musicians in chorus and orchestra, is a must-hear. Enjoy also the light-hearted talks between performances. Gakushuin School Corporation

Founded in 1877 as a school for the nobility, Gakushuin has a unique history transitioning from a government-run institution under the Imperial Household Ministry to a private school. It will celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2027. In April 2026, Gakushuin University and Gakushuin Women's University merged, forming a comprehensive educational institution with six schools from kindergarten to university.
