105th Anniversary Project: “Amashin Kids Invention Project” — Applications Open from Saturday, June 20

Amagasaki Shinkin Bank (Head Office: 3-30 Kaimeimachi, Amagasaki City; President: Seiji Sakuta) will begin accepting applications for the “Amashin Kids Invention Project” on Saturday, June 20, 2026. The project solicits children’s ideas for things they want to make, useful items, or exciting concepts.

The purpose of the “Amashin Kids Invention Project” is to provide children with opportunities to engage in science and hands-on manufacturing, encouraging them to think about everyday problems, develop thinking skills, imagination, and problem-solving ability, and increase their interest in making things.

On Saturday, August 8, a “Science Show & Workshop Experience” will be held at the Amagasaki Chamber of Commerce. Through hands-on events and implementation support, the program aims to cultivate thinking skills, imagination, and problem-solving ability, while building a community-wide model for human resource development.

Children’s free ideas have the power to change the future. Please submit your children’s dreams and ideas of “it would be nice if there were something like this.”

◆ Amashin Kids Invention Project

We are soliciting invention ideas themed “It would be nice if there were something like this.” If an idea is selected, the winner will work together with a local manufacturing company to actually produce and present it.

Application period: Saturday, June 20, 2026 – Monday, August 31, 2026

Eligible applicants: Preschoolers and elementary school students who live within Amagasaki Shinkin Bank’s service area

◆ “Exciting Science Show & Workshop Experience”

The Science Show will feature “Zen-chan” (Mr. Zenichi Kitazawa), who has worked as a curator at a science and technology museum and as a university researcher involved in experimental development and research, delivering a professional science show that blends surprise and laughter.

At the workshop experience, participants will make items using offcuts from the manufacturing processes of local Amagasaki makers, providing hands-on access to materials they may not normally encounter.

Instructor: Zen-chan (Mr. Zenichi Kitazawa)

He has appeared on and supervised many media programs such as TBS’s “Suiyōbi no Downtown” and Nippon TV’s “Getsuyō kara Yofukashi.” Utilizing his experience as a curator at a science and technology museum and as a university researcher in experimental development and research, he conducts science shows and workshops nationwide that blend serious scientific experiments with surprise and laughter.

Times: ① 11:15– ② 12:00– ③ 14:15– ④ 15:00– Each session lasts approximately 30 minutes
