Yamanouchi Town in Nagano Prefecture has registered the 'SEKISUIKA - THE ORIGIN Aroma Oil,' developed as part of the 'Kaori Project'—a regional revitalization initiative utilizing local forest resources—as a new hometown tax return gift.

This product is an aroma oil formulated based on essential oil extracted from upcycled cedar leaves and branches harvested within Yamanouchi Town. It expresses the town's rich nature and landscape by layering refreshing scents reminiscent of forest bathing with a nostalgic, comforting aroma.

Previously, 'SEKISUIKA - THE ORIGIN' was sold as a set combining aroma oil and aroma wood. Now, it is available as a standalone product to allow more people to enjoy the scent.

By creating new value from previously unused forest resources, Yamanouchi Town aims to promote forest management and the circular use of local resources, while promoting the town's charm through scent.

With this registration, the town hopes that people outside the town will experience the benefits of Yamanouchi's nature through the scent, fostering further interest and attachment to the town.
