From June 1st to June 7th each year, "Water Week" is observed nationwide to promote understanding and interest in water services through various public awareness activities. In conjunction with Water Week, Tokushima City will open its water treatment plant to the public and host the Water Festa. This year is particularly significant as it marks the 100th anniversary of Tokushima City's water supply, ensuring content enjoyable for people of all ages. The event will take place on Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM (last admission at 2:30 PM), rain or shine. The venue is the 10th Water Treatment Plant (262-4 Aihata, Daiju, Ishii-cho, Myozai-gun, Tokushima Prefecture). Event highlights include a "Water Treatment Plant Tour" exploring purification facilities, an "Experiment Corner" to uncover water's secrets, and displays of water supply tank trucks, fire trucks, and ambulances, among various other activities.
