Background of the "Kyoto Branch" Relocation

Shikishima Housing Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Moriguchi City, Osaka Prefecture, President and CEO: Nagayoshi Kawashima), which develops housing businesses mainly in Osaka, Kyoto, and Shiga, will relocate its Kyoto branch from Joyo City to a new location in Kyobashi-cho, Fushimi Ward, Kyoto City, accompanied by business expansion and sales channel expansion. It will start new operations from Friday, April 24. Within Fushimi Ward, the company already has bases such as its custom housing department, housing exhibition halls, and model houses where people can stay overnight to experience living, and has a large track record of subdivided housing sales in the same area. In addition, Fushimi Ward has the largest population and number of households among the administrative wards of Kyoto City, and allows the use of the Keihan Main Line, Kintetsu Kyoto Line, JR Nara Line, and Subway Karasuma Line and Tozai Line, providing convenient access to central Kyoto, Osaka, and Nara. While supporting customers and business partners in a highly convenient location, the company will develop an office environment where staff can work comfortably. Furthermore, it aims to realize its management philosophy of "creating a rich housing culture and contributing to people and the environment" by attaching a cafe and community space that deepens ties with local residents and owners. The old Kyoto branch will continue to be used by the company's Kyoto Construction Department and Estimation Department as the Kyoto Joyo Office.

Concept of the new office

The 4-story new office is designed with the concept of "intersecting islands," a spatial design intended to connect dots to dots and islands to islands while respecting the "individual." The 1st-floor cafe features a communication space for local interaction, a kids' space, and an owner's lounge. The 2nd floor consists of a showroom to improve customer experience, while the 3rd and 4th floors are comprised of free-address offices equipped with online booths. The rooftop is planned for phase 2 construction as a PARK (refreshment space). By giving each floor functional characteristics and intersecting across areas used depending on the purpose, objective, or mood of the day, the company aims to create new value utilizing the "insights" and "inspirations" born by chance from daily communications and encounters.
