<City of Manga and Anime, Niigata> Recruiting Participants for Children's Manga School!

Niigata City has been promoting manga and anime-related policies ahead of the rest of the country. It is a 'City of Manga and Anime' that has produced many nationally famous manga artists and animators, and where amateur creative activities are thriving. The Niigata Manga Award Executive Committee is holding a 'Children's Manga School' for elementary and junior high school students to help them feel the joy of drawing manga and to encourage them to apply for the Niigata Manga Award. Mr. Toshiharu Koike (Director of the Niigata City Manga and Anime Information Center), who debuted as a manga artist at Kodansha and served as a lecturer at a manga vocational school, will serve as the instructor.
