Tokyo Theatres Co., Ltd. has launched a new service in collaboration with reuse service provider Treasure Factory, allowing customers who sell their apartments to have their unwanted furniture and home appliances picked up and bought on-site.

Service Overview Customers who sign an apartment sales contract with Tokyo Theatres will receive a promotional leaflet for Treasure Factory’s on-site buying service. Applications made through this leaflet entitle sellers to a 20% increase in the purchase price of their items.

About Treasure Factory’s On-site Buying Treasure Factory’s on-site buying service involves buyers visiting the customer's home to handle assessment, purchase, and removal in one go. The service covers furniture, appliances, luxury items, musical instruments, and miscellaneous goods, with no fees for出張 (on-site) visits, assessment, or removal.

Background In recent years, there has been an increase in consultations regarding the sale of vacant apartments due to inheritance or moves to senior care facilities. Many sellers have voiced concerns about the heavy burden of cleaning and disposing of items left in homes where they have lived for years.

Tokyo Theatres has historically proposed 'as-is' apartment buying, which allows customers to sell their homes with furniture and items left inside. By collaborating with Treasure Factory, they aim to further alleviate the burden on customers while contributing to waste reduction and resource circulation.

2025 Performance In 2025, Tokyo Theatres purchased 329 apartments, with an average age of 39 years. Properties over 40 years old accounted for more than half of the total, highlighting their strength in buying and reselling older condominiums. They actively purchase properties with significant clutter, facility issues, limited public transport access, and stigmatized defects.
