The CS broadcast channel 'Eigeki' will premiere three films set in Okinawa this June under the 'Okinawa Film Special' banner.
The featured films include the 1959 film 'Kairyu', the first to be shot on location in Okinawa before its reversion to mainland Japan; 'Murasaki: Legendary Rock Spirits', a documentary on the legendary Okinawan rock band 'Murasaki'; and 'Goya Chanpuru', which depicts a withdrawn girl finding renewal on Iriomote Island, starring Mikako Tabe. 'Goya Chanpuru' [Broadcast Date] June 4 (Thu) 8:30 AM and others Released in 2005. Follows a girl who experiences school refusal as she travels to Iriomote Island in Okinawa to find a path to recovery.
