Call for Applications: Kiraboshi Venture R&D Subsidy Program

Sagamihara Industry Creation Center (SIC, located in Nishi-Hashimoto, Midori-ku, Sagamihara City; Toshihiro Yamazaki, Representative Director) is pleased to announce the call for applications for its research and development subsidy program.

This initiative, supported by Kiraboshi Bank, aims to assist the growth of ambitious startups and SMEs incubated at SIC and the Machida Industry Creation Center (MBDA) by providing subsidies for the development of new technologies and products.

We will continue to actively contribute to the development of the regional economy through comprehensive incubation activities.

Kiraboshi Venture R&D Subsidy Program

1. Eligibility: SMEs or sole proprietors incubated at SIC or MBDA. 2. Subsidy Amount: Up to 1 million JPY. 3. Subsidy Rate: Fixed rate. 4. Number of recipients: 1 project. 5. Application Period: May 20 (Wed) to June 17 (Wed), Reiwa 8. 6. Organizer: Sagamihara Industry Creation Center. 7. Cooperation: Machida Industry Creation Center, Kiraboshi Bank.

Schedule

May 20 to June 17, Reiwa 8: Application period. June 25, Reiwa 8: Document screening and presentation (selection committee). Early July, Reiwa 8: Notification of selection results. By February 19, Reiwa 9: Notification of subsidy decision (start of R&D), completion of project, and submission of performance reports. February, Reiwa 9: Submission of invoices. March, Reiwa 9: Subsidy payment. March, Reiwa 9 and onwards: Progress reports.

About Machida Industry Creation Center (MBDA): A public startup support institution established with investment from Machida City, Machida Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Kiraboshi Bank. In addition to office operations, incubation managers provide support to entrepreneurs with innovative ideas.

About Sagamihara Industry Creation Center (SIC): An incubation facility established with investment from Sagamihara City, the Organization for Small & Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation, and private companies to contribute to regional economic development through comprehensive incubation activities.
