Chugoku Financial Group (Okayama City, President Sadanosuke Kato) is launching the "AI 1000 People Project" to accelerate the transition to new ways of working based on AI utilization.

This project is a key initiative for our group's business transformation, utilizing Microsoft 365 Copilot as a core tool to train approximately 1,000 people, primarily at headquarters, to "master" AI.

The rapid advancement of generative AI requires financial institutions to go beyond mere operational efficiency and improve service quality and sophistication of decision-making. Our group has been systematically developing digital human resources to promote DX.

In addition to this, we will newly position "AI human resources" and aim to transform our operations by integrating AI into all aspects of daily work, including document creation, information gathering, analysis, and decision-making support.

1. Overview of Initiatives

(1) We will promote operational efficiency and sophistication by integrating AI into daily tasks such as document creation, information gathering, analysis, and support for creating materials, utilizing Microsoft 365 Copilot.

(2) As a first step, we will establish an AI utilization environment for approximately 1,000 people, mainly at headquarters, and gradually expand the scope of application while verifying the effects through practical use.

(3) We aim to establish AI as a "usable AI" that goes beyond simple tool implementation by combining hands-on training, e-learning, use case sharing, and consultation sessions.

2. Expected Effects

In addition to improving operational efficiency and productivity through AI utilization, we aim to enhance customer value by advancing customer support and sales activities, and promoting knowledge utilization.

In the future, we aim to become a new model case for AI utilization in regional financial institutions, with a view to expanding it to the entire group.
