"BK Label" x "Shosetsuka ni Naro" Collaboration Contest: The 2nd BK Novel Award to be Held from May 1st (Friday)!

Bunka Publishing Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Harumi Kon)'s light novel label "BK Label" will hold the "2nd BK Novel Award" in collaboration with the novel submission site "Shosetsuka ni Naro." This contest is an open call for entertainment novels, open to both professionals and amateurs. It offers the chance to have your work published as a book and adapted into a comic.

"BK Label" has developed light novel label "BK Books," comic adaptation label "BK Comics," and women's label "BK Comics f," releasing numerous works across a wide range of genres, primarily high fantasy and isekai romance.

This contest received a great response in its first iteration, with over 8,700 submissions. A total of 3 works (Gold, Silver, and Bronze prizes) were decided for book and comic adaptation, and 3 comic adaptation prize winners are currently in active production. This time, in addition to fantasy and isekai romance, we will also focus on discovering works in the "modern/youth romantic comedy" genre, which we plan to handle in the future. We are broadly recruiting works regardless of genre, word count, or completion status.

Winning entries are once again guaranteed to be published as books and adapted into comics, as we aim to create new hit works.

◇ Application Requirements

Theme: Any genre. We are broadly recruiting works including high fantasy, isekai romance, and modern romantic comedies. Eligibility: Open to anyone, professional or amateur. Word Count: No restrictions. * Both completed and uncompleted works are eligible. Works: Original works written in Japanese (unpublished and copyright belonging to the submitter).

"BK Books" is a light novel label launched in November 2018. It has developed a wide range of genres, including high fantasy and isekai works, as well as slow-life and coming-of-age stories.

To date, it has published numerous works and developed popular series such as "The Convenience Store Clerk Caught in a Class Transfer, Seems to Become the Strongest by Using Leftover Skills Unnecessary for a Hero." and "The Alchemist Betrayed by His Fiancee Becomes Independent and Gets His Revenge."
