Eyemovic Inc. (Headquarters: Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture; CEO: Kenichiro Morimoto), provider of the bear countermeasure solution 'Kumamiru AI', has entered into a business partnership with Core-Support Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Oshima District, Kagoshima Prefecture; CEO: Tetsuya Nakamoto) and Sendai Meiban Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture; CEO: Hiroyuki Kano), a provider of safety equipment and IoT remote operation systems.

This partnership will achieve the following two objectives:

(1) Establishing an implementation support system utilizing Sendai Meiban’s nationwide network of sales offices

(2) Automating the entire process from AI-based bear detection to on-site alert response through integration with the remote control box 'RemOpe (Rimope)'

Background of the Partnership: The Two Remaining Barriers in Bear Countermeasures

In recent years, bear sightings have expanded from mountainous areas into urban and agricultural zones, with human casualties (deaths) in FY2025 reaching the highest level on record. While 'Kumamiru AI' has made it possible to instantly detect bears using AI, the following challenges remain in on-site response after detection:

Challenge 1: Delay in sharing 'alert information' with on-site personnel when bears appear

- Lack of physical means to immediately warn people near the site - Time lag between receiving detection alerts and staff arriving on-site - Delays in warnings during nighttime or holidays when human response is difficult

Challenge 2: Lack of established countermeasure procedures

- Regions with severe damage often lack personnel and know-how to implement measures - Many municipalities and businesses hesitate to adopt solutions due to the absence of local consultation points for equipment procurement and operation

To simultaneously address these two challenges, the three companies—united by the shared mission of 'protecting human safety'—have formed this business partnership.

The Goal: 'Zero On-site Accidents' × 'Zero Bear Damage'

Sendai Meiban, which has long pursued 'zero on-site accidents' through safety equipment, and 'Kumamiru AI', aiming for 'zero bear damage,' have aligned their missions. This partnership was made possible by the overlapping commitment of all three companies to 'protect human safety.' While bear damage is spreading nationwide, the availability of personnel and implementation expertise varies greatly by region. Sendai Meiban will leverage its nationwide network of branch offices as a locally embedded support infrastructure to fill this gap. From consultation on installation plans to equipment setup and initial adjustments, local branches will provide face-to-face support, ensuring reliable and safe implementation even in regions lacking specialized personnel. The goal is to build a system where everyone, regardless of location, is equally protected.

Instant Automation from 'Detection' to 'Automatic Warning' via Kumamiru AI × RemOpe Integration

This time, the integration with 'RemOpe (Rimope),' an IoT remote operation system that Sendai Meiban has successfully deployed across construction and safety sites nationwide. By leveraging LTE communication, RemOpe’s ability to remotely activate warning lights and electronic signs from anywhere is now applied to bear countermeasures.

The moment Kumamiru AI detects a bear, RemOpe automatically activates on-site warning lights and electronic signs. This end-to-end automation—from detection to evacuation alerts—realizes a new form of bear countermeasure where 'the site responds before humans notice.'

Additionally, since both systems operate independently, the 'Kumamiru AI camera' monitoring bear pathways and the 'RemOpe + warning devices' alerting pedestrians and nearby workers can be optimally placed in separate locations. This optimization of monitoring and warning enables flexible and effective bear countermeasures tailored to the installation environment. Furthermore, because no LINE registration is required, warning signals can reach everyone passing nearby—a key advantage.

RemOpe also supports device control via contact output (9-point open collector output), enabling integration not only with warning lights and electronic boards but with any device featuring contact input, including environmental sensors. With proven integration experience with diverse external devices such as AI cameras, weather forecasting systems, and vehicle detection systems (NETIS Registration No.: QS-220016-A), retrofitting to existing equipment already deployed by municipalities and agricultural cooperatives is easy. Optimal device combinations will be selected based on on-site needs.

Workflow from Detection to On-site Alert

[Automatic Detection]: Kumamiru AI camera instantly identifies bears around the facility

[Immediate Linkage]: Kumamiru AI communicates with RemOpe, instantly activating warning lights and signs

[Evacuation Assurance]: Immediate evacuation begins due to audio and visual warnings on-site

[Post-incident Confirmation]: Managers confirm recorded footage via LINE notifications and proceed with follow-up actions after ensuring safety

Product Introduction

About 'Kumamiru AI'

An AI-based bear detection system combining a 'remote monitoring solar camera' and 'AI detection' that can be installed even in remote mountainous areas without power or internet connectivity.

No power or line installation required: Monitoring begins immediately upon installation using solar panels and SIM-embedded cameras

Real-time notifications: AI detects bears and sends LINE alerts in as little as 3 minutes

Trend analysis and prevention: Accumulates and analyzes sighting data to support preventive measures such as zoning
