Atrae Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Yoshihide Niiharu; Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market: 6194), which develops the People Tech (expanding human potential through technology) business, announces that its team experience platform "Wevox" was utilized in a career education workshop for first and second-year students at Seikei University (Musashino-shi, Tokyo; President: Yuichi Mori) to help them reflect on their own values using the "Wevox Values Card."

In this workshop, first and second-year university students, before their job hunting activities become serious, reflected on their experiences in club activities, part-time jobs, and student life, and verbalized their core "values" using the "Wevox Values Card." Furthermore, participants shared their values with each other and, by "immersing" themselves in each other's perspectives, found a step to positively change their student lives starting tomorrow.

Background of the Workshop

When considering career paths and future visions, words like "fulfillment," "stability," and "growth" are often used. However, there are few opportunities to deeply explore what each of these means to oneself.

First and second-year university students, in particular, are at a stage where expectations and anxieties mix as their environment changes with advancing to the next grade, joining circles, or starting part-time jobs. They often feel, "I want to start something new, but I'm unsure what to do," or "Job hunting is still in the future, but I'm interested in self-analysis."

Verbalizing the values one cherishes at this stage, before job hunting becomes serious, forms the foundation for future career autonomy. Therefore, this workshop aimed to provide an experience of "knowing oneself and understanding others" in a fun way through a card game, rather than a stiff self-analysis seminar.

Workshop Content

The workshop was structured in three steps: "Select," "Update," and "Act."

1. Select: Narrow down your values to 5 cards from 70

From the 70 "Wevox Values Cards," participants carefully select 5 cards that represent their "non-negotiable values." By discussing "why they chose them" based on their own experiences and episodes, they verbalize their previously abstract strengths and values in a concrete and objective manner.

2. Update: Update one value for the future

Participants confront the question, "If you were to let go of one of your five cards and add a new one for the future, what would it be?" This creates an opportunity to transcend their current limitations. It is a future-oriented experience where they proactively re-select the "values they want to cherish from now on," rather than just reviewing their "current selves."

3. Act: "Immerse" in others' ideas and find actions for tomorrow (Shower Session)

The most distinctive feature of this workshop is the "Shower Session," where participants exchange ideas with each other. For each participant's chosen value, other participants freely suggest action ideas by replacing the subject with themselves, saying, "If it were 'me,' I would take action like XX based on that value." By "immersing" themselves in the perspectives of others, which they might not have thought of on their own, the presenter significantly expands their repertoire of future actions.

Finally, based on the reviewed values and the ideas from others, each participant was given homework to consider "how they will spend the coming year," concluding the workshop.

Workshop Scene and Participant Feedback

Nine students participated on the day. Mr. Daiki Koga from the Career Support Center at Seikei University provided the following feedback:

We requested this workshop to provide first and second-year students with an opportunity to think about their careers early on. Throughout the session, students enjoyed working with the cards in a lively atmosphere, and I felt it was a good time for them to think about and realize their own values. We heard from the students that it was a very meaningful time for them in navigating their future student lives, and we are grateful for the valuable time provided to our students.
