Alps Way Achieves '3-Star' Driver-Friendly Workplace Certification
Alps Way Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture; Representative Director: Hiroaki Tamura) announced that all five of its branches were certified as '3-Star'—the highest tier—under the 'Driver-Friendly Workplace Certification System' on May 11, 2026. This is the second time the company has received this certification since its initial recognition on February 29, 2024.
### About the Driver-Friendly Workplace Certification System
Created by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the 'Driver-Friendly Workplace Certification System' (officially named the 'Driving Driver Workplace Environment Quality Certification System') visualizes the labor conditions and environments of motor transport operators (truck, bus, and taxi companies). Applicants are evaluated on criteria such as reducing turnover rates, shortening working hours, increasing paid leave utilization, and actively hiring female drivers. The '3-Star' rating, the highest of three levels, is awarded to operators recognized for implementing labor condition and environment improvements that go beyond legal compliance.
### Significance of the 3-Star Certification
Alps Way provides transport services using 2-ton to large trucks within Nagano Prefecture and parts of neighboring prefectures. This certification signifies that the company meets criteria not only in policy settings but also in actual performance regarding turnover reduction, working hour shortening, and paid leave utilization. The company intends to continue these activities and deliver the value and results to truck drivers and shippers.
### Comment on Certification
