ARTLOGUE Co., Ltd. (Osaka; CEO Daisuke Suzuki) announced that the interactive installation 'INTER-WORLD/Cocooner: Apparent motion of celestial bodies' by artist Akihito Okunaka will be exhibited at the 'Light Art Park' of 'TOKYO LIGHTS 2026' from May 23 to May 31, 2026, at Shinjuku Central Park. Sponsored by Tokyo Tatemono Co., Ltd., this project brings the Expo legacy artwork to Tokyo's urban space.
The work, which visualizes the earth's natural cycles of air, water, and sunlight as a soft sculpture, was previously exhibited for 184 days as an official Osaka-Kansai Expo program at 'Study: Osaka Kansai International Art Festival 2025.' Visitors can step inside the translucent cocoon-like sculpture to experience light and space.
Artist Akihito Okunaka creates large-scale installations and workshops exploring the connection between air, water, light, body, and environment. The exhibition aims to present art as urban infrastructure. TOKYO LIGHTS 2026 is held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building Citizen's Plaza and the Nishi-Shinjuku area, with the 'Light Art Park' located in Shinjuku Central Park.
