Background of Receiving the Letter of Appreciation
In Aichi Prefecture, damage from SNS investment and romance scams is a serious issue.
In 2025, there were 1,542 reported cases, with damages amounting to approximately 17.1542 billion yen, the highest number of cases nationwide. As of the end of May 2026, there have been 818 reported cases (an increase of 420 cases year-on-year), with damages of approximately 10.4614 billion yen (an increase of approximately 5.98664 billion yen year-on-year), indicating a high level of activity.
In response to this situation, Enito Group has been collaborating with the Aichi Prefectural Police to jointly produce awareness short dramas and promote warning activities targeting users in Aichi Prefecture to prevent damage from SNS investment and romance scams.
These efforts have been recognized, and the company has received a letter of appreciation from the Public Safety Department of the Aichi Prefectural Police Headquarters.
Enito Group's Initiatives
Enito Group strives to strengthen collaboration by regularly exchanging information with the National Police Agency, prefectural police departments, and the National Consumer Affairs Center.
Starting with collaboration with the Chiba Prefectural Police in July 2025, the company has conducted awareness activities for "with" and "Omiai" users, introducing common tactics and countermeasures for SNS investment and romance scams. To date, Enito Group has engaged in initiatives in collaboration with police departments in nine prefectures nationwide.
A characteristic of SNS investment and romance scams that misuse matching apps is that after matching, users are quickly prompted to communicate on other social media platforms where the matching app operator's monitoring is not as thorough.
The initiatives with the Aichi Prefectural Police include:
- Joint production of "SNS Investment and Romance Scam Prevention Awareness Short Drama" (4-minute version, 30-second version)
- Warning about SNS investment and romance scams targeting "with" and "Omiai" users residing in Aichi Prefecture (scheduled for July 6).
The "SNS Investment and Romance Scam Prevention Awareness Short Drama," which began airing on digital signage at stations and other locations from July 1, depicts typical scam tactics from both male and female perspectives, based on actual victim cases. The aim is to encourage viewers to consider the damage as a personal issue, deepen their understanding of scam tactics and points to watch out for, and promote appropriate actions to prevent damage. Furthermore, by airing the drama on public media with the cooperation of the Aichi Prefectural Police, the initiative aims to create opportunities for repeated exposure to awareness information through various touchpoints, thereby increasing vigilance against SNS investment and romance scams and contributing to damage prevention.
This is the first initiative by Enito Group to develop and distribute awareness short dramas targeting a wide range of prefectural residents in collaboration with a prefectural police department.

Comment from Norio Kimura, Chief of the Public Safety Department, Aichi Prefectural Police Headquarters, regarding this matter
"Collaboration with the police and public-private partnerships are extremely important initiatives. While the police alone have limitations in protecting the safety and security of our citizens, collaborating with companies can lead to activities that move society forward.
In this instance, an awareness video specifically targeting special fraud, particularly SNS investment and romance scams, where damage is escalating, has been created. Furthermore, the content is designed to be disseminated not only to Enito Group's members but also broadly to the citizens of the prefecture, and we have cooperated in this significant undertaking.
The Aichi Prefectural Police also intends to widely disseminate this video and prevent even one more case of damage."
Comment from Kazuya Nobe, Representative Director Group CEO, Enito Group
"Damage from SNS investment and romance scams is becoming more serious, and cases where matching apps are misused for criminal purposes are also a social issue. In response to this situation, our group believes it is necessary to promote an environment where users can utilize our services with greater peace of mind and safety than ever before.
Enito Group has continuously engaged in warning and awareness activities in collaboration with police organizations nationwide. We are deeply honored to have received a letter of appreciation from the Aichi Prefectural Police, and we hope that this initiative will contribute to the prevention of damage from SNS investment and romance scams.
We will continue to strengthen our collaboration with the Aichi Prefectural Police and other relevant organizations to create a safe environment for encounters where our users can feel secure using our services."
Since its establishment, Enito Group has operated a "Trust & Safety Office" responsible for creating a safe and secure usage environment for matching apps, conducting service monitoring 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In addition to detecting and forcibly withdrawing malicious users, the company is working to improve safety through user warnings and alerts when exchanging SNS account information.
In April 2025, the company launched an "Advisory Board" comprising experts in legal compliance, consumer protection, and academia to discuss social issues surrounding matching apps, further strengthening its safety and security initiatives by incorporating the knowledge of external experts.
Enito Group will continue to strive to create an environment where users can feel secure using its services by strengthening collaborations with relevant organizations and conducting awareness activities to realize safe encounters.

【About the Matching App Market】
A survey result released by the Cabinet Office for Children and Families in Japan showed that matching apps were the most common place/opportunity for married individuals to meet their spouses, accounting for 25.1%. As we enter an era where one in four people get married through matching apps, they are recognized as important matching platforms in society. Furthermore, with the possibility of broadcasting TV and radio commercials for matching apps that meet certain conditions through third-party certification (IMS certification) that evaluates quality and reliability, opportunities for more people to use them in their daily lives are increasing, and expectations from various stakeholders are growing.

※2: A certification system for internet-based matchmaking services operated by the Japan Association of Marriage Agencies (IMS). It is granted only to matching apps that meet detailed criteria such as service content, compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and information security measures, and is a mandatory condition for broadcasting TV and radio commercials. Currently, only 10 companies in Japan have obtained this certification.
【Enito Group's Trust & Safety Measures】
According to an announcement by the National Police Agency※3, SNS investment and romance scams are not decreasing, and it has become clear that approximately 90% of communication tools used during the commission of these crimes are specific SNS platforms. It has been confirmed that perpetrators contact victims through matching apps and similar services, and then quickly guide them to SNS platforms where the matching app operator's monitoring is not thorough, in order to carry out their scams.
Enito Group's "Trust & Safety Office," which plays a central role in creating a safe and secure usage environment for matching apps, collaborates with the support centers of "with" and "Omiai." Utilizing technologies such as AI, the office detects malicious users early and takes actions such as forced withdrawal. Dedicated personnel also analyze the characteristics of malicious users, and various other measures are being implemented. Furthermore, Enito Group strengthens collaboration by regularly exchanging information with relevant government ministries and agencies. In October 2024, initiatives such as enhanced detection of malicious users and warnings about exchanging SNS contact information before dates were launched.
