Vector Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Hitoshi Nishie; TSE Prime: 6058; hereinafter "Vector"), through its group company Offshore Company Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Kenta Noro; hereinafter "Offshore Company"), which is responsible for the Tech domain with a focus on AI-powered SaaS business, is pleased to announce the launch of its AI agent function for "AvaMo (AbaMo)," Japan's first*1 AI talent generation video service, starting Friday, July 3rd.
This new function allows users to simply upload PowerPoint or PDF materials and input the purpose and content of the desired video. The AI will then autonomously analyze the material, execute everything from narration script creation and voice generation to video production. Furthermore, an AI talent will provide explanations based on the generated narration, enabling its use as an "explanatory video" that is easy for viewers to understand, rather than a conventional slide video. This is expected to reduce the man-hours required for business video production, such as PR, training, sales, IR, and product descriptions, by approximately 97%*2, thereby promoting video utilization by companies.
Market Background
In recent years, the use of video content has been expanding for corporate information dissemination and internal communication. While videoing press releases, company introductions, sales materials, product descriptions, internal training, manuals, and IR is expected to enhance understanding and improve information transmission efficiency, the significant production burden due to the multiple processes involved, including structural design, scriptwriting, narration recording, and editing, has become a major challenge. In particular, the need to convert existing PowerPoint and PDF materials into videos is high, but the high production costs have been a barrier.
Amidst this, the use of generative AI is rapidly expanding globally. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications' "Information and Communications White Paper 2025," the usage rate of generative AI in Japan remains at 26.7%, which is still low compared to the United States (68.8%) and China (81.2%)*3. On the other hand, Microsoft AI Economy Institute's "Global AI Diffusion Report" positions Japan as one of the countries where AI usage growth will exceed the global average between 2025 and 2026, indicating that the utilization of generative AI is transitioning from the experimental and trial introduction stages to the "actual operation phase" for practical business use*4.
Among these, "AI agents," where AI autonomously executes multiple work processes, are attracting particular attention.
However, services that can autonomously execute the entire process from understanding material content to structural design, narration generation, and AI talent-driven explanatory video generation are limited.
"AvaMo (AbaMo)" has been provided as a service that allows anyone to easily generate AI talent videos without the need for filming, editing, or talent arrangements. With its strengths in UI/UX optimized for the Japanese market and high-quality AI talent generation technology, it is being adopted for a wide range of applications including advertising, PR, sales, training, and IR. Furthermore, its effectiveness in reducing time and costs in video production, its practicality, and its social significance in realizing "a society where anyone can communicate effectively" were recognized with the "Nikkei Excellent Products and Services Award 2025 Startup Division Award" in January of this year.
With the newly added AI agent function, simply uploading PowerPoint or PDF materials will allow the AI to analyze the material and autonomously execute everything from content organization, narration script creation, voice generation, to the creation of explanatory videos by AI talent. This will automate the entire video production workflow, which traditionally required multiple steps and tools, and further support the expansion of video utilization by companies.
Features of the AI Agent Function
1 Automatic Generation of Explanatory Videos from PowerPoint and PDF
The AI agent function, newly added, can be accessed from "PPT/PDF to Video" within the "Business" category. By simply uploading materials that companies already possess, such as PowerPoint or PDF files, the AI will autonomously analyze the material, organize the structure, create the narration script, generate voice and subtitles, and produce videos with AI talent.
2 Streamlining Video Production
Traditionally, converting materials into videos required multiple steps, including reading the material, summarizing key points, designing the structure, writing the script, and creating the narration. This function assists in these initial stages with AI, enabling even staff with no prior video production experience to create explanatory videos in a short time. It also supports script generation using PowerPoint's note information, allowing for video production that leverages existing sales materials, training materials, and manuals.
3 Realizing "Communicative Videos" with AI Talent
The generated videos feature AI talent explaining the material clearly, allowing for the creation of explanatory videos that resemble a human presentation, rather than just slide videos. Furthermore, even after generation, the script, subtitles, captions, and scene composition can be finely edited on the platform, allowing for flexible adjustments to match each company's expressions and operational rules. Since video generation to editing can be completed within "AvaMo," video production can proceed efficiently without the need to switch between multiple tools.
4 Optimized for Japanese Companies
"AvaMo" is designed for use in Japanese companies, supporting Japanese UI, Japanese narration, and Japanese AI talent. It can produce explanatory videos that consider Japanese-specific expressions and honorifics, making it useful for a wide range of applications such as sales, training, product descriptions, and internal PR. Additionally, considerations for rights are made when using AI talent, allowing for secure adoption in corporate activities.
Main Anticipated Use Cases
Explanatory videos by AI talent are easier to understand than information conveyed solely through text or slides, and contribute to improving the quality of internal and external communication.
