While heat enters homes through roofs and exterior walls, the primary entry point is actually windows—approximately 71% of external heat enters through them during summer. Simultaneously, windows are also a major escape route for cool air from air conditioning, making window-based countermeasures essential for energy conservation.

Adding a lining to curtains not only enhances light-blocking performance but also provides heat shielding and insulation by blocking external heat in summer and retaining indoor cool air, thereby improving air conditioning efficiency.
