Kyosuke Tchinai, a contracted artist with the Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo-based gallery Galerie Tamenaga, will hold an exhibition and lecture in Warabi City, Saitama, where he serves as the Chairman of the Cultural Association. This exhibition will feature a special pre-release in Japan of approximately 15 new works that will be showcased at our Paris gallery this autumn.

In recent years, Tchinai has been focusing on new creations themed around 'Hiten' (celestial beings who dance in the air when the virtues of Buddhas or Bodhisattvas spread across the world). He has been holding regular solo exhibitions in Paris since 2002, and this will be his ninth, following the previous one in 2023.

We invite you to experience Tchinai's works and his unique world view.

His unique technique using acrylic paint on washi paper and his fantastical works featuring traditional Japanese costumes and nature motifs have received high acclaim both in Japan and internationally. His works are held in museums and by prominent collectors, including former pro tennis player Roger Federer and the Rothschild family, one of Europe's leading collectors. In December 2024, he established the Kyosuke Tchinai Foundation and is actively participating in regional development, including concluding partnership agreements with Imabari City and Imabari Meitoku Junior College.

About Galerie Tamenaga Founded in Ginza in 1969, Galerie Tamenaga has been handling art from Impressionism to contemporary art, introducing masterpieces to museums and collectors worldwide for half a century. The gallery opened locations in Paris and Osaka in 1971, and Kyoto in 2021. In September 2025, it relocated from Ginza to its new location on Kotto-dori in Minami-Aoyama, tripling its exhibition space to serve as a new art hub.

Currently, the gallery showcases works by artists from all over the world, not just Europe, and is playing a significant role in the art industry, with an increasing focus on presenting works by Japanese artists. The Kyosuke Tchinai exhibition is scheduled for autumn 2026 at our Paris gallery (18, AV. MATIGNON 75008 PARIS, FRANCE).
