Crosslink Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Atsuko Yano) has launched 'AI Posture Analysis' as a new feature of 'Kartte,' its all-in-one electronic medical record system for chiropractic, acupuncture, and massage clinics. This feature objectively visualizes physical changes resulting from treatments.
'Kartte' integrates fragmented clinic operations—reservations, consultations, medical records, checkout, and payments—into a single platform, supporting over 5,000 clinics and having generated more than 1 million medical records. 'AI Posture Analysis' was developed based on direct feedback from clinics. By quantifying posture from photos and enabling side-by-side comparison before and after treatment, it allows patients to visually confirm the value of treatments that were previously difficult to convey through words alone.

Usage Example
What 'AI Posture Analysis' Can Do
Complete from photo capture to evaluation using familiar clinic workflows
Simply take photos on-site with a camera. Following on-screen guides, anyone can accurately capture front, side, and seated views. The AI then analyzes posture and automatically measures 14 items, including body misalignment and kyphosis. Results are displayed as scores and color-coded categories (Good / Mild / Caution), making them instantly understandable. Users can manually adjust specific areas with a fingertip, and the score recalculates in real time. AI also automatically generates findings and explanatory comments as reference information.
Eliminate standalone posture analysis tools—fully integrated with medical records
Kartte's posture analysis is not a separate app. It operates entirely within the same Kartte platform used for reservations, consultations, records, and checkout. Captured and measured results are directly saved as part of the electronic medical record. This eliminates double data entry and constant app switching common with multiple tools. Patient information and treatment history are seamlessly connected. Data accumulates within the same patient record, enabling not only before-and-after comparisons but also side-by-side views of a patient’s posture from their first visit to today. Records build over time, allowing clinics to track changes over months or even a year.
Patients can review posture scores and before/after photos
Patients can access their posture scores, before-and-after treatment photos, and AI-generated overall evaluations anytime via the Kartte customer app (clinician notes are hidden). This allows them to visually track their body’s progress not just during or right after treatment, but anytime. This transforms vague feelings like 'I feel a bit better' into tangible understanding, encouraging deeper personal engagement with their health.
Development Background: Responding to Clinics' Feedback on 'Fragmented Workflows'
The feature originated from feedback by multi-location chiropractic clinics.
One existing 'Kartte' user clinic was exploring third-party posture analysis services to boost new patient acquisition and retention. However, comparing multiple services revealed a new issue: 'Separating Kartte from posture analysis tools fragmented our workflow even more.' They asked, 'Can’t we handle everything from booking to recording within Kartte?'
Similar needs were reported by many other clinics. We realized clinics don’t need a high-functionality standalone tool, but rather a seamless system that fits naturally into daily operations. Convinced by this insight, we decided to co-develop the feature with clinics.
Shifting from 'Pain Treatment' to 'Prevention and Maintenance'
Objectively demonstrating posture—a previously 'invisible' condition—has the power to transform patient motivation.
Moving from 'visiting only when in pain' to 'regular visits to maintain wellness.' AI Posture Analysis contributes to higher retention rates and customer lifetime value (LTV) by visualizing treatment value and encouraging patients to take ownership of their health. This supports the evolution of chiropractic and acupuncture clinics into local hubs for preventive care and maintenance.
Early adopters have reported: 'Patients appreciate seeing objective posture changes, and it’s helping drive repeat visits.'
Comment from CEO Atsuko Yano
'At Crosslink, we intentionally do not operate our own clinics. Owning clinics would bias us toward provider convenience. That’s why we prioritize the patient’s perspective above all.
This AI Posture Analysis embodies that philosophy. Without operating clinics, we lack firsthand knowledge of clinical workflows or how practitioners assess posture. That’s why we didn’t develop this alone. We collaborated closely with practitioners, incorporating their insights into every specification. This feature couldn’t have been created by technology alone or field experience alone.
The value of skilled practitioners often doesn’t fully reach patients through words. By objectively visualizing that value and deepening patients’ understanding of their own bodies, we believe we can foster a new culture—from 'visiting when in pain' to 'visiting to protect health.''
