Jakuets to Exhibit 'The House' Playground (Collaborative Piece with Yuichi Hirako) at Osaka Art & Design 2026

Play equipment created by Jakuets (Headquarters: Tsuruga City, Fukui Prefecture; President: Tatsuro Tokumoto) in collaboration with contemporary artist Yuichi Hirako will be exhibited at 'Osaka Art & Design 2026' from Wednesday, May 27, to Monday, June 8, 2026.

About Osaka Art & Design 2026 'Osaka Art & Design 2026' is a tour-type area event where visitors can enjoy various art and design while wandering through the city of Osaka. Celebrating its 4th edition, this year's event will be held for four weeks under the theme 'Infinitize.'

Mr. Hirako creates work based on the theme of coexistence between plants, nature, and humans, as well as the ambiguities and questions that arise in those relationships. This exhibition will feature the theme 'NON NATURE,' showcasing pieces that blend motifs symbolizing fragments of nature and human qualities.

From Jakuets, the new house-themed play equipment 'The House,' born from a collaboration with Mr. Hirako, will be introduced. It is a space where art and play are fused, allowing children and adults alike to feel, discover, and expand their imagination while playing. The equipment nurtures diverse sensibilities and curiosity, touching on the boundaries and connections between nature and humanity.

Yuichi Hirako Born in Okayama Prefecture in 1982, he is based in Tokyo. He graduated from Wimbledon College of Art in the UK in 2006, majoring in painting. Focusing on themes of coexistence between plants, nature, and humans, he works across various expressive media including painting, drawing, sculpture, and installations.

Jakuets Founded in 1916 with the slogan 'The future is within play,' Jakuets provides a one-stop service for planning, design, construction, and operational management of play environments. They are engaged in urban development aimed at solving issues for local communities and facilities.
