LINUS, a classic bike brand from Los Angeles inspired by French cycling culture of the 1950s-60s, is making a comeback in Japan.

CycleChic, based in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo, which has proposed bicycles as a way to enjoy the city in one's own style, like fashion, will serve as the general distributor in Japan.

CycleChic has consistently proposed new values for bicycles, not just as a means of transportation, but as something that enriches time spent in the city, through the development of overseas brands and upcycling.

LINUS offers a value proposition that emphasizes not just speed or performance, but the enjoyment of the time spent with the bicycle itself, blending naturally into the cityscape.

CycleChic deeply resonates with this brand philosophy and has decided to develop the brand as its general distributor.

To commemorate the brand launch, from July 11, 2026 (Sat), the CycleChic Shimokitazawa store will feature a space inspired by Paris in the 1950s-60s.

In conjunction with the simultaneous release of the 4K restored version of the film "Katte ni Shiyagare," official posters and still images provided by the distributor will be exhibited, creating a space where visitors can feel the French cycling culture that is the root of the brand and the atmosphere of the city at that time.

After the limited-time French style exhibition concludes, the space is planned to be renovated with a theme of Los Angeles, the birthplace of the brand, evoking the relaxed atmosphere and seaside scenery of the West Coast.
