SEGA Co., Ltd. implemented a scheduled update for the online RPG 'PSO2 New Genesis ver.2' (NGS) on May 27, 2026. The primary addition is the limited-time quest 'Practice Drill: Aelio Summer Wind Defense,' available until the maintenance on June 3.

Limited-Time Quest: 'Practice Drill: Aelio Summer Wind Defense' This quest utilizes the 'High-Saturation Attack Operation' format, where players compete for quest points earned by dealing the final blow to enemies. During the mission, players will encounter the 'Arks Lan Interference Zone' trial, requiring strategic movement to guide enemy attacks. High-point enemies appear following trial completion, providing opportunities to secure top rankings. Related title tasks have also been added to the game.

New AC Scratch: 'Noble Shadows '26' Running from May 27 to June 24, this new collection features dark assassin and street-style swordsman aesthetics. Highlights include new weapon camos, motion changes for Katanas, and lobby actions. Featured items include the 'Ennui Model Makeup/B,' 'Metal Rib Guard T1/B' body paint, 'Flaring Yoko Tail' accessory, and 'L12-MLRS Commence' leg gear.

Revival AC Scratch: 'Rewind Collection Jun '26' Starting June 1, a revival scratch will feature popular items previously released in June. The reward milestones include returning motion changes and the weapon camo '* Viel Ksente.'

About NGS ver.2: As the latest entry in the Phantasy Star Online 2 series, NGS has surpassed 12 million registered users worldwide. The 'ver.2' update introduced 'Toon Shading' for character creation and the 'Creative Space' system for island customization.
