Seven Payment Service Co., Ltd. began providing its 'ATM Cash Pickup' service to Kuwana City, Mie Prefecture, on May 1, 2026. This service allows recipients to receive funds from local governments in cash at over 28,000 Seven Bank ATMs nationwide without needing a bank account. Kuwana City is using government grants for rising prices to provide 5,000 yen per eligible person. Previously, the city relied on bank transfers, which caused delays for citizens whose account information was not on file. With this introduction, citizens can receive cash 24/7 at their convenience, achieving both faster distribution and reduced administrative burden for city staff.
