TV Asahi Presents a New Live Event Fusing Music and Video: "sumika x Toichiro Ruto CINEMA & LIVE" Announced!!!

TV Asahi will present a new live event where music and video merge. The holding of "sumika x Toichiro Ruto CINEMA & LIVE" has been decided.

In this performance, sumika's one-man live concert will be fused with a short film produced by a professional video team. We challenge a new form of entertainment, "a live experience where you feel a story," going beyond the framework of a music concert.

The video work developed during the live performance is a completely original story created exclusively for this event. It will further expand the narrative and worldview of sumika's songs through cinematic expression, creating a special stage where the entire live space can be experienced as a single work.

The direction is handled by film director Toichiro Ruto, who has created numerous buzz-worthy works such as the "Ossan's Love" series and the drama "unknown." In 2026, the streaming drama "Stove League" starring Kazuya Kamenashi became a hot topic, and he is a creator attracting attention with the upcoming release of the film "High School Family" starring Shingo Katori.

--- ### sumika Profile A band formed in May 2013, consisting of Kenta Kataoka (Vo./Gt.), Tomoyuki Arai (Dr./Cho.), and Takayuki Ogawa (Key./Cho.), originating from Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture. They were formed with the wish to become a "sumika" (dwelling place) for various people.

Started his career as a video director, and after directing variety shows, expanded his activities to dramas and films.
