TV Anime 'Akane-banashi' Exhibition to be Held!

"Rakugo is difficult and quiet." This preconceived notion was vividly overturned by the hit work 'Akane-banashi.'

'Akane-banashi' is a popular manga currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (published by Shueisha), written by Yuki Suenaga and illustrated by Takamasa Moue. While centering on the traditional art of rakugo, it has captivated readers of all generations with its intense human drama and dynamic presentation.

The serious competitions between rakugo performers, the human connections among colorful characters, and the overwhelming energy depicted in every performance have garnered significant attention, transcending the boundaries of a "rakugo manga" to become a major entertainment work.

Furthermore, with the TV anime broadcast beginning in April 2026, the attention on the work is rising even higher.

In this exhibition, visitors can experience the world of the TV anime 'Akane-banashi' and feel its charm in three dimensions. The exhibition will include displays revisiting key scenes and memorable stage moments, special企画 exhibitions exploring the journeys and relationships of the characters, and other unique features. Original goods using illustrations drawn exclusively for this exhibition will also be on sale at the venue.
