From Tuesday, July 1, 2026, to Monday, August 3, 2026, at the event space on the 2nd floor of Seibu Shibuya Store Building A, during the "Summer! Ocean! Mochinyan Summer Festival," a collaboration product with "Ryukyu Chakan," a long-established Taiwanese tea cafe in Naha City, Okinawa, will be sold.

The signature sweet "Handmade Chinsuko" from "Ryukyu Chakan," which is highly popular among locals and tourists from Japan and abroad, will be renamed to "Mysterious Round Chinsuko Like a Paw Pad" and will appear in a Mochinyan limited design package.

The products for sale are the following three types:

・"Ryukyu Chakan Mysterious Round Chinsuko Like a Paw Pad (Plain)" (15-piece pack)

・"Ryukyu Chakan Mysterious Round Chinsuko Like a Paw Pad (with Sesame)" (15-piece pack)

・"Ryukyu Chakan Mysterious Round Chinsuko Like a Paw Pad Mini Pack" (Plain + Sesame, 2 pieces)

This event-limited collaboration product combines an "adult taste" that overturns the conventional image of chinsuko, being refreshing yet profound with a mellow aftertaste, and the cute design unique to Mochinyan.

Please enjoy this special specification, perfect for souvenirs and gifts, at the venue.

Additionally, this product will also be sold at the food section on the B1 floor of Seibu Shibuya Store Building A from June 23 to July 6, and from July 15 to August 3, it is planned to be offered as a Mochinyan collaboration menu at "365cafe" on the 4th floor of Seibu Shibuya Store Building A.

What is Mochinyan?

"Mochinyan" is a healing character born in 2013 as a mascot for a thick-cut toast shop in Taiwan.

Its popularity surged after being appointed as the image character for the Taipei Metro in 2015. In China, it has developed collaborations with major companies such as 7-Eleven, Lawson, and The Coca-Cola Company, becoming a character beloved by a wide range of generations. Currently, the anime version is being streamed on over 60 distribution platforms in the Chinese-speaking world.

What is Ryukyu Chakan?

A small Taiwanese tea cafe founded in 2005 by a Taiwanese-loving owner with the desire to "create a place in Okinawa where you can feel Taiwan." In the store, you can enjoy Taiwanese tea and Taiwanese food at any time, and they also sell Taiwanese tea leaves and confectioneries. Many customers also use it as a regular cafe for coffee and sweets, and it has been loved for many years as a place of relaxation for both locals and tourists.

Since 2020, it has frequently appeared in the anime version of 'Mochinyan'.
