Tomonokai Co., Ltd. conducted a survey of 161 international students from 50 countries regarding Japanese school education. While the learning environment and discipline were highly praised, 50.3% of respondents highlighted a lack of confidence and fear of failure among Japanese students as key challenges. The survey also noted that compared to academic-focused systems in many home countries, Japan prioritizes character building and group discipline through activities like school cleaning and club activities.
