1. Junco Hitomi's Activities
In the 1960s, Junco Hitomi drew inspiration from 'toy flowers' made by indigenous people in Latin America and created a completely original concept of 'sculptural flowers'—the origin of clay flowers known as 'Pan no Hana' (Bread Flowers). This innovative art form gained widespread attention through coverage in television, newspapers, and magazines.
After founding Junco Flora School, Hitomi continued to pioneer new styles such as 'Clay-Dyed Flowers', 'Tojika', 'Scented Flower Soap / Luna Bianca', and 'Sheer Clay Flowers', establishing a new genre in the craft art world called 'Luna Flora'. The seeds sown by Junco Hitomi have blossomed beyond Japan’s borders, cultivating over 200,000 enthusiasts worldwide.
