Hotel New Otani Hakata (1-1-2 Watanabe-dori, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City; General Manager: Masayuki Yamazaki) will begin offering a 'Chinese Afternoon Tea Set' exclusively on weekends and holidays at the Chinese restaurant 'Taikanen' starting Saturday, April 4, 2026.

This is a new menu limited to lunchtime (13:00-14:30) where you can enjoy authentic Chinese dim sum and sweets in an afternoon tea style. Utilizing traditional Chinese culinary techniques, it is served on a gorgeous stand. You can enjoy a relaxing time with Chinese tea, including selections from the established German brand 'Ronnefeldt'.

New Otani Hakata, which has previously developed super sweets buffets and strawberry afternoon teas, now proposes a new 'Chinese Afternoon Tea'.

Expressing the Charm of Chinese Cuisine through Afternoon Tea

In addition to dim sum such as soup dumplings (xiaolongbao) and steamed shrimp dumplings, we have incorporated Chinese sweets in a well-balanced manner, serving them in an afternoon tea style. The contents can be enjoyed not only for their taste but also visually, featuring adorable animal-motif dim sum. The menu changes seasonally, so you can discover new charms every time you visit.

Furthermore, we have included nourishing dishes such as Chinese porridge with wolfberries and abalone, focusing on satisfying you as a light meal.
