Hotel New Otani Hakata (1-1-2 Watanabe-dori, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, General Manager: Masaki Yamazaki) will begin serving a 'Chinese Afternoon Tea Set' limited to Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays at its Chinese restaurant 'Taikan-en', starting April 4, 2026.

This is a new lunch-time exclusive menu (13:00-14:30) where guests can enjoy authentic Chinese dim sum and sweets in an afternoon tea style. Making use of traditional Chinese cooking techniques, the dishes are presented on a glamorous tiered stand. Guests can enjoy a relaxing time with Chinese tea, including selections from the long-established German brand 'Ronnefeldt'.

Having previously offered Super Sweets Buffets and Strawberry Afternoon Teas, New Otani Hakata now proposes a new 'Chinese Afternoon Tea' experience.

Expressing the Charm of Chinese Cuisine through Afternoon Tea In addition to dim sum such as soup dumplings (xiaolongbao) and steamed shrimp dumplings, Chinese sweets are incorporated in a well-balanced manner and served afternoon tea style. The menu includes cute animal-motif dim sum, making it visually enjoyable as well as delicious. Since the menu changes seasonally, guests can discover new charms with every visit.

Furthermore, deeply flavorful dishes such as Chinese congee with goji berries and abalone are included, ensuring a satisfying light meal.
