Pickleball One Announces Concept for Japan's Largest Pickleball Flagship Facility with Over 20 Courts

Pickleball One Co., Ltd. (hereinafter 'Pickleball One') has announced a concept for Japan's largest pickleball facility, equipped with over 20 courts, with the aim of developing the pickleball industry in Japan. This facility is intended to serve as a flagship base for pickleball in Japan, incorporating functions for hosting international tournaments, community events, retail, and media outreach.

Currently, towards the realization of this project, we are seeking a wide range of co-creation partners, including land-providing partners, investors, sponsoring companies, and local governments.

The facility envisioned by Pickleball One is Japan's largest pickleball facility, boasting over 20 courts. This facility aims to be not just a sports venue, but a cultural hub for pickleball in Japan.

Pickleball is a sport rapidly spreading worldwide, especially in the United States. In the US, statistics show that approximately 50 million adults, or about 1 in 5, played in the past year (※1), and it has been selected as the 'fastest-growing sport in America' for four consecutive years (※2).

Meanwhile, the number of players in Japan is also increasing rapidly, but iconic base facilities are not yet adequately developed. The shortage of facilities supporting tournaments, community building, and sport popularization is one of the major challenges for the growth of the Japanese pickleball market.

Pickleball One has been working to expand the pickleball market in Japan through court operations, event/tournament management, media operations, and equipment sales. The flagship facility we are now conceptualizing aims to be a base that supports the growth of Japan's pickleball industry.
