A joint research group consisting of Profit Japan Co., Ltd., Osaka Institute of Technology, Surugadai University, Kanagawa University of Human Services, and Tokyo Medical University verified the effects of passive exercise using the 'Bodyflex' passive stretch machine on arterial stiffness (CAVI). The research findings were published in the academic journal 'Journal of Physical Fitness and Sports Medicine' (Vol. 75, No. 3), released on June 1, 2026.
The study compared a passive exercise group using Bodyflex with a resting group among 15 healthy adults. The results confirmed that the arteriosclerosis index (CAVI) was significantly lowered and vascular flexibility improved in the Bodyflex group. These results are expected to be utilized in frailty prevention for the elderly who find voluntary exercise difficult, as well as in rehabilitation settings.
