Nagoya Performance Announced for 'Adieu Galaxy Express 999' Cinema Concert in Memory of Masako Ikeda

In memory of Masako Ikeda, the voice of Maetel, who passed away on March 3, 2026, it has been decided that the 'Adieu Galaxy Express 999' Cinema Concert will be held in Nagoya.

The 'Galaxy Express 999 Cinema Concert' held in Nagoya last February was highly acclaimed by attendees. Consequently, the second feature film, 'Adieu Galaxy Express 999: Andromeda Terminal,' will be performed in June 2026.

This marks the first standalone performance since the one held in Tokyo in November 2021.

A cinema concert is an immersive experience where a full orchestra performs the music live, synchronized with the screening of the entire film, while maintaining the original dialogue and sound effects. The music, composed by Osamu Shoji, features profound and melancholy melodies that enrich the epic story.

Conducted by Hirofumi Kurita, the Chubu Philharmonic Orchestra will perform the live music. Mari Okonogi will join as a guest vocalist for the theme song 'SAYONARA.'
