Heygood (Headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Ryo Iizuka) has announced a major update to its career exploration app, 'Heygood,' centered on new AI agent features.
Previously, Heygood provided an experience where users could collect 'career cards' and connect with companies through recruiting PR and tickets, facilitating pre-application engagement without the pressure to apply.
With this update, each user will have a dedicated AI agent that uses their profile, interests, saved companies, and consultation history to propose candidate companies and career-related questions. Before rushing into job applications or career consultations, users can engage in dialogues with the AI agent to articulate their interests and doubts, thereby increasing touchpoints with companies that may be a good fit.
Through this update, Heygood has evolved from a 'company collection app' to an 'app where an AI agent finds the right career opportunities for you.'
Background: The Need for Neutrality in the AI Era
The proliferation of generative AI has made it easier than ever to draft applications, resumes, scout replies, and interview prep. Increased document quality is a major step forward for both job seekers and companies.
However, when the entry point to recruitment and job changes relies too heavily on documents and scout replies, the seeker's core values—'What attracts me?' 'What environment lets me perform at my best?' 'Should I even change jobs now?'—can become obscured.
Career choices inherently require 'time to sort out one's interests and doubts before rushing to apply.' Currently, the gateway for job seekers to consider their careers and expand connections from a neutral stance is not yet sufficiently established.
Heygood believes that while AI should handle searching, comparing, and expanding options, the values that matter most should be held by the user themselves. Through dialogue with an AI agent, users can articulate their thoughts, allowing them to expand career options from a neutral stance without being overly dependent on the premise of immediate job changing.
What You Can Do with the AI Agent Features:
1. Propose Company Candidates Based on Profile and Interests The AI agent negotiates with the companies' own AI agents to propose candidates, even those with whom the user has not yet interacted, based on their profile, interests, and companies they have shown interest in. This enables users to reach companies that are hard to find through standard condition-based searches on job sites.
2. Save Consultation History Users can search for companies or discuss careers with their personal AI agent. Discussions continue by retaining previously mentioned companies and considerations, allowing the AI to treat changes in perspective as a cumulative dialogue.
3. Input URL, Files, and Photos Users can now provide their resumes, portfolios, company pages, or recruitment articles to the AI agent. The AI agent uses these materials to organize candidates and formulate new questions for future consultation.
Heygood’s Vision: User-First Career Exploration
Heygood's AI agent is not designed to rush users into applying for jobs.
Users starting to think about job changes do not always have clear requirements from the start. They articulate questions little by little, such as 'What kind of people do I want to work with?' 'What tasks make me feel positive?' or 'Are there options to remain in my current environment?'
Such exploration does not advance simply by lining up job postings. By having the AI broaden candidates, compare them, and ask questions, Heygood helps users find a career path they can genuinely be satisfied with.
