A new addition to Weekend Max Mara's iconic 'Pasticcino' bag line has arrived: the 'Pasticcino Bag Italian Roots.' This latest release marks the fifth stop of the global 'Pasticcino World Tour' project, arriving in Florence, Italy—following Venice, Paris, Japan, and Spain. Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Pasticcino Bag, this special collection pays homage to Italy, the birthplace of the brand.
Dubbed a 'homecoming,' this collection introduces six uniquely numbered styles. The body features luxurious fabrics from Florence's historic textile atelier, 'Fondazione Rizzo,' with richly varied designs inspired by the facades, interiors, and ceiling decorations of historic buildings and palaces across Tuscany.
The iconic ball closure of the clasp is crafted from premium marble by 'Budri,' an Italian specialist atelier founded in 1967. Rare and representative Italian materials have been carefully selected, including blue-gray Bardiglio Carrara, Calacatta Bergia with delicate veining on a white base, Fior di Pesco Carnico with rose-toned veins, Nero di Orosei and Portoro Extra with distinctive gold flecks, and the deep green Rossoné.
On the large and medium sizes, marble inlays are embedded along silver or bronze-toned metal trims, expressing the playful spirit and individuality characteristic of the Pasticcino line.
The 'Pasticcino Bag World Tour Italian Roots,' a highly collectible piece, is now available at all Weekend Max Mara boutiques across Japan and on the official online store.
Additionally, a pop-up store themed around this collection will open at Isetan Shinjuku from July 22, 2026.
