Challenges in Corporate Video Operations
As demand for video content rapidly increases, companies handling video face growing operational burdens after production. Securing skilled personnel and managing rising workloads have become major challenges for many businesses.
Overview of the Case Study Video
Unison Systems has collaborated with QVC, supporting its efforts to adapt to diverse viewing formats and enhance the shopping experience.
The companies previously launched AI subtitling (operational since December 2022) and AI video digest (operational since February 2024). QVC's Challenges and the Three Developed Technologies
QVC's Challenges
As a 24-hour broadcaster, QVC has faced increasing challenges due to the growth of video content and diversified distribution channels:
- Increased post-broadcast video operations - Human resource constraints in manual short-form video creation and subtitling - Complex archival management (storage duration, locations, etc.) - Rising burden of multi-format adaptation for diverse platforms
Solutions via Three Technologies
Unison Systems conducted a detailed analysis of QVC's workflows and co-developed the following three technologies. See the case video for detailed demonstrations.
AI Digest
AI analyzes broadcast footage, classifies scenes, and identifies highlights to automatically generate digest videos and thumbnails. Enables 24/7 automated digest creation and distribution.
AI Subtitling
Real-time transcription of on-air speech with high accuracy, including specialized terms and proper nouns. Achieves 24/7 subtitling for 4K QVC broadcasts.
Cloud Content Management Platform
Centralizes video assets in the cloud. Automates format conversion and posting across social media platforms, significantly streamlining operations.
Multilingual subtitling (English, Chinese, Korean) is currently under development.
Future Outlook
Unison Systems offers tailored solutions to all organizations handling video content, addressing their specific challenges. Guided by the philosophy 'Making the Impossible Possible, Hello! Impossible,' the company will continue creating new value with clients across industries and delivering it to society.
