Realgate Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Shibuya, Tokyo; President: Yu Iwamoto; hereinafter 'Realgate'), a company specializing in urban real estate regeneration with over 100 projects in workplaces, hotels, and retail, will open the mixed-use facility 'JINNAN VALLEY' entirely on Friday, July 17, 2026. The facility, located in Jinnan 1-chome, Shibuya, is a renovation of a 50-year-old building into a complex combining shops, offices, and a hotel.

This project inherits the unique history and culture of the Jinnan area, placing at its design core the rich 'texture' and 'materiality' born from aging—qualities impossible to replicate in newly constructed buildings. By harmonizing the distinctive character of vintage architecture with Jinnan's street culture, the space fosters free self-expression and inspires new challenges, turning even the urban noise into a pleasant background melody.

Additionally, by integrating different functions—shops, offices, and a hotel—across the entire facility, Realgate creates a new hub where creators, workers, and visitors naturally intersect. It offers everyone who gathers here an energetic experience that allows them to feel the pulse of the neighborhood firsthand.

Key Features of JINNAN VALLEY

① Design Unique to a 50-Year-Old Building, Shaped by Time

The design preserves the rugged texture characteristic of vintage buildings while combining it with modern industrial aesthetics. Materials that express the charm of aging—such as exposed concrete ceilings and walls, and visible piping—are retained as-is, while modern accents like signage and lighting add definition to the space. The interior design is handled by 'LINE-INC.,' known for their work across numerous projects including hotels, restaurants, and shops. The result is a bold presence that resonates with Jinnan's street culture.

② Floor Layout Reflecting the Context of the Jinnan Area

Jinnan is an area shaped by the intersection of Harajuku's street culture and Shibuya's commercial culture. Each floor plays a distinct role, collectively expressing the area's energy throughout the building. The first floor features a shop and café serving as a gathering place not only for facility users but also for visitors. Floors 2 and above house offices for next-generation startups and creators. The top-floor hotel, 'SHIFT HOTEL SHIBUYA JINNAN,' is a long-stay destination attracting domestic and international travelers. The entire building is designed to offer an immersive experience of Jinnan's unique mixed culture.

③ Street-Facing Shop Connecting Facility Users and Visitors

On the ground floor facing Jinnan's streets, 'Clubhouse by KAMO,' a new concept from soccer shop KAMO, has been launched. This open space connects workers, guests, and visitors, serving as a new community hub and gathering point for Jinnan.

Interior Design

The design of the hotel, exterior, and entrance was handled by 'LINE-INC.,' a firm with whom Realgate has previously collaborated on numerous regeneration projects, including 'THE WORKS' in Nakameguro.

Trusting in their proven expertise in creating spaces that reflect a building’s aging beauty and the context of its neighborhood, Realgate chose to collaborate again. By combining the charm of a 50-year-old vintage building with the unique street culture of the Shibuya-Jinnan area, the design elevates the space into a representation of the neighborhood's distinctive mixed culture. The synergy between both companies aims to create a new landmark for Jinnan.

Logo Design

Inspired by the facility's concept—'a place where the noise of the city becomes background music and energy is generated'—the logo incorporates a single line of 'noise.'
