9th Year of Collaboration, Featuring the 'Mosquito' as the Protagonist

Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten, a traditional company in Nara established in 1716, announced its 9th consecutive collaboration with Kincho (Dainihon Jochugiku Co., Ltd.), the creator of the world's first mosquito coil (established 1885). A total of 16 items, including four new products, will be available starting May 26, 2026, at Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten stores nationwide and its online shop.

Having both produced tools related to mosquitoes—Kincho with mosquito-repelling tools and Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten with mosquito-net-inspired kitchen cloths—this partnership has grown into a popular series since 2018, selling over 90,000 units across 38 item types. This year's collection features the mosquito and its repellent tools as the main design elements, transforming the nuisance into a charming, iconic summer motif.

### Three New 'Sarashara' (Smooth) Tenugui Using special looped thread, these cloths feature a unique textured, smooth touch. Their longer design allows them to be worn around the neck or as a sunshade.

* **Kaya-goshi (Mosquito Net Grid)**: Inspired by Nara's traditional mosquito nets, with a small mosquito tucked away in the corner. * **Katori-dogu-zukushi (Mosquito Tool Collection)**: Features classic Kincho products, with one mosquito humorously flipped over. * **Yoku-kiku**: An original textile based on the iconic 'Yoku-kiku' (Effective) text found on vintage enamel signs.

### Mosquito Coil Pouch Set Includes a pouch made from 'Kaya-ori' (mosquito net fabric), mini-sized Kincho coils, and matches, making it perfect for outdoor use.

Additional items such as furoshiki, Seto ware incense dishes, and Arita ware decorative jars are also part of the expanded lineup.
