Tamagawa Holdings announced today that its subsidiary, Tamagawa Energy Co., Ltd., has resolved to acquire a grid-scale battery storage facility scheduled for grid connection in July 2026.

The Tamagawa Group has been striving to popularize renewable energy through the development of solar, small-scale wind, geothermal, and small-scale hydroelectric power plants. The development of grid-scale battery storage facilities, which support stable power supply, is essential for the further spread of renewable energy.

To achieve an early start to the business, the company has decided to acquire a near-completed battery storage facility scheduled for grid connection in July 2026. This acquisition brings the monetization of the battery storage business into view in the early stages of the fiscal year ending October 2027, enabling the realization of the goals set forth in the mid-term management plan more than one year ahead of schedule.
