Nippon Ryutsu Sangyo Shimbun, publisher of the e-commerce specialty paper 'Japan Net Economy Newspaper,' will host the large-scale free online seminar 'Commerce NEXT' on June 24-25, 2026. The event, which drew over 1,700 applicants last year, expands its sessions this year and adds an in-person networking event on July 23. On June 24, Fumiya Kamoshita, Executive Officer and General Manager of Sales & Marketing at W2, will deliver a specialist session titled 'Media Commerce: Next Strategy for EC in an Era Where Ads Don't Sell.' The session will explain why simply listing products is no longer viable due to AI search changes and mall competition, and how to transform EC from a 'place to sell' into 'media that helps consumers choose.' The event features various sessions on EC site building, marketing, payments, and security, addressing key challenges like AI utilization, SNS strategy, and CX improvement. Recordings will be available until July 24 for early registrants. The in-person event on July 23 in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, includes a special lecture by Iris Plaza's President Ryota Iwasaki.
