Kyuryudo was founded in Kanda, Tokyo in 1923 (Taisho 12) for the purpose of buying and selling paintings and publishing art books. As a publisher bearing the tradition of art books, through corporate activities utilizing the essence of excellent publishing technology, we have come to be recognized as 'Kyuryudo of Art Books.' The company name was given by the painter Ryuzaburo Umehara. The current logo is by the dyer Keisuke Serizawa.
